My Recovery Story
by Stephanie Newman
I want to share my story with others who are suffering with Ankylosing Spondylitis or other forms of auto-immune and chronic illness. I had one long and intense battle with Ankylosing Spondylitis that did not fit the typical profile for a woman diagnosed with AS. Women tend to get a much milder form of the disease, however mine was so intense that I ended up fusing vertebrae's T-10 and T-11 along with several other disks within my vertebrae's significantly narrowing within a year's time. I was told by my rheumatologist that it would take years to fuse, however the x-rays from 1998 to 1999 showed that fusion had occurred.
I was on a quest to find answers and to find them quickly.
How I recovered from chronic illness:
Cleansing - important process to remove built up toxins. In order to aid your body in putting Ankylosing Spondylitis in remission remove these toxins. Ankylosing Spondylitis patients tend to have more built up toxins due to inflammation and joint stiffness.
I used the following products:
Energy-Vitality-Balance - This helped give me energy to handle the detoxification process.
Draw Extra Strength Body Soak - This soak removed inflammation from my body to help me regain mobility and reduce pain.
Gastrointestinal Health - Ankylosing Spondylitis patients eventually end up with poor gastrointestinal health. Improve the function of your GI tract.
Diet - once the cleansing process has begun follow a healthy diet to keep toxins at a minimum. Alkaline diet is important to health. Ankylosing Spondylitis suffers need to make permanent changes in their diets.
Body Soaks - an important step in eliminating toxins, soothing muscles and reducing pain.
Inflammation - Major source of pain and destruction. Find ways to eliminate the inflammation in the body in order to restore balance and health.
Alkalize, Alkalize, Alkalize - one of the most important things you can do! If you are not aware of the importance of alkalizing the body, please take the time to read.
Exercise - it was incredibly important for me to find a comfortable exercise routine I could stick with and that complimented, strengthened and enhanced my body.
Posture - extremely important for Ankylosing Spondylitis and other forms of arthritis. Find out more about how I have been able to maintain my posture.
Massage - for several years I regularly saw a physical and massage therapist to keep the lymphatic system moving and toxins eliminating from my muscles.
